Set up an Authorized Payer

Only the student can add an Authorized Payer in Transact.

If you are not the student, send him or her a link to this page or fill out this form.

To Set up an Authorized Payer

  1. Log on to
  2. Choose 'Hokie Wallet' Menu
  3. Choose 'View and Pay eBill'
  4. Choose 'My Account'
  5. Under Payers, choose 'Send a payer invitation'
  6. Enter the payer’s information and ensure 'Allow access to statements' is checked
  7.  Select 'Send invitation'

The authorized payer will receive an email once the student has given them access, which includes a link to log in and set their password. 

Next, the Authorized Payer will receive an email. They will need to:

  1. Click the link in the email.
  2. Create permanent password.
