Authorize a Parent or Guest in New Transact Billing System

Only the student can authorize a parent or guest to use the system.

If you are not the student, send your student a link to this page or fill out this form.

  1. Log on to
  2. Choose ‘Hokie Wallet’
  3. Choose ‘Budget Tuition Plan’
  4. Choose 'My Account'
  5. Select 'Send a payer invitation'
  6. Enter relevant information
  7. Select 'Send invitation'


Next, the Parent or Guest will receive an email. Within 48 hours they will need to:

  1. Click the link in the email
  2. Create a permanent password

If the authorized payer does not activate his or her account within 48 hours, the student can reset the password and repeat the process.
